OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE OPTIMUM HEALTH AND WELLNESS THROUGH  COUNSELING, RESEARCH, NUTRITION EDUCATION, AND CONTRACT SERVICES.

Healing Favor Nutrition Inc., is a non-profit organization managed by Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Executive directors and Volunteers.  Facilitating a variety of educational and  nutrition therapy  services  to enhance  the wellbeing  of the underserved and underrepresented population in our communities.  With a focus on evidence based nutrition science, our organization strives to help individuals, health care providers, and companies maximize effectiveness of preventive nutrition  services. Meet Our Board Of Directors- Dietitian Nutritionist

Executive Director:

Mercy Aremu, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist- is a nutrition expert who is passionate about the power that food plays in health, disease prevention, and management. She is the founder of the nonprofit organization, Healing Favor Nutrition Inc and Executive Director.  Mercy is also the founder of YourFide Dietitian (www.YourFide.Com), a healthcare practice in-network with all major health insurance plans to provide affordable  nutrition therapy services. She offers excellent, compassionate, and professional nutrition services to diverse communities with the highest level of care as a clinical dietitian in dialysis clinics, hospitals, and private practice outpatient clinics. She takes great pride in incorporating an understanding of patients' culture in order to provide recommendations that are relevant and sustainable. She has in-depth experience in providing individualized medical nutrition therapy across a variety of medical conditions. In the field of dietetics, culturally appropriate nutrition therapy recommendations are essential, and Mercy has over 11 years experience in providing medical nutrition therapy services across a variety of conditions.

Carol Kelly With over 20 years in the Information Technology industry, Carol has developed a strong reputation based on her Integrity and leadership qualities. Carol held various leadership roles, Sr. Partner and VP of Operations at Information Technology Consulting Inc., including Director of Cloud & Connectivity Solutions and Channel Support with Advocate. Before joining Advocate,Carol had a variety of leadership positions at Qwest Communications (now Lumen). She is results-driven telecommunication professional with a BA focused in Economics and Corporate Training from Lehman College. When Carol isn’t working, she spends time with her family in Georgia,working out, mentoring at various nonprofit organizations, helping children with disabilities and serving in the community.

Mrs. Monica McVicker, RD, LDN, currently practices as a Registered Dietitian in Lumberton,    North Carolina as a Renal Dietitian. For over 25 years, she had served as a Nutrition Director with a rural Public Health Department providing community nutrition education to at risk populations by helping to prevent and treat diabetes, breastfeeding education and support. She has designed and implemented community programs targeting pediatric obesity and diabetes prevention and she has garnered numerous recognitions for her work serving minorities, native Americans, and Hispanics populations as a Registered Dietitian.

Esosa Asemota is a Duke Law student, with a degree in Nutrition from UNC Chapel Hill’s Gilling's School of Global Health. As a college freshman, she served as a tutor and mentor for fifth graders via the Blue Ribbon Mentorship program, and during the following summer, she worked as a head camp counselor in Mound Bayou, Mississippi. During the following years, she would go on to serve as an advocate for financially insecure individuals via the Community Empowerment Fund, a volunteer teacher for a local kids cooking program, and as a intern for an NGO during a summer in Bolivia, where she would work to increase access to healthy foods to lower-income families in the region. After graduating college, she spent a year as a college advisor, where she worked to help under-represented students gain admission into college.

Theophilus James, Represent the next generation of philanthropic leaders. Theophilus is the community outreach assistant and is currently a high-school student. Theo became passionate about raising awareness of disease preventive nutrition services after a series of family and friends health experiences. He is a passionate advocate for improved healthcare in rural and Indigenous communities. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, guitar, computer coding, and spending time with friends and family.

Rebecca Weiner

Meet: Rebecca Weiner: Community Outreach Coordinator

I am currently a Master of Public Health student with a concentration in Community Health at CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy. I have completed a Bachelor's degree in Health Studies as well. My internships and volunteering experiences in several nonprofit organizations have strengthened my passion for health equity and chronic disease prevention. Over the past year I have assisted adults living with Alzheimer's disease with their mental health. I have also been working with an organization to advocate for chronic disease patients, assisting them with navigating their health care, and working to improve health policy issues related to chronic disease on a local, state, and national level. I aspire to improve the health and well-being among communities, while addressing health disparities.
